Clinton Invitational Soccer Tournament 2023
The Clinton Youth Soccer Association is pleased to invite you to participate in our 28th annual Clinton Invitational Tournament. This tournament is open to boys and girls in the following age and skill divisions: U10 recreational and competitive, U11 recreational and competitive, U12 recreational and competitive and combined U13/U14/U15 competitive. The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) and the USYSA sanction this tournament. The tournament will be played at the Indian River and Ethel Peter’s Sport Complexes and the Morgan High School on Saturday, May 20th and Sunday May 21st.
The U11, U12, U13 and U14/U15 divisions will have three (3) games on Saturday (for seeding) and at least one (1) playoff game on Sunday. The U11 and U12 age divisions will play 9 vs. 9 and the U13/U14/U15 divisions will play 11 vs. 11 with awards being given to the first and second place teams. Games ending in ties on Sunday will be determined by MLS style penalty kicks. All U11, U12, U13 and U14/U15 games will be officiated with a three (3) person system on Sunday’s playoff rounds. A three (3) person system will be used for the seeding rounds on Saturday where possible based on referee availability.
The U10 division will play four (4) games with a 7 vs. 7 format. The girls division will play on Saturday the 20th and the boys division will play on Sunday the 21st. All U10 teams will receive a participation award with no division standings. All U10 games will be officiated by a one (1) person system. All games will be officiated by USSF Certified Referees.

Please limit your teams to eighteen (18) players for the U13/U14/U15 divisions, sixteen (16) players for U11 and U12 divisions and twelve (12) players for the U10 divisions. All players must be certified by the CJSA or their state association on their appropriate status, all U11, U12 and U14/U15 teams must have player passes (Comp teams only). Please complete the entry form and return it with your tournament fee before the 30th of April. Teams will be notified of their acceptance and additional information will be sent. Teams that are not accepted will have their forms and their tournament fees returned in full. Due to the early date of our tournament and the large number of teams from last year it is strongly recommended that you apply early. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis, and many groups are predicted to have waiting lists so act early.
