The Clinton Youth Soccer club is pleased to invite you to participate in our sixteenth annual Clinton Invitational Tournament. This tournament is open to boys and girls in the following age and skill divisions: U10 recreational and competitive, U11 recreational and competitive, U12 recreational and competitive and U14 recreational and competitive. The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) and the USYSA sanction this tournament. The tournament will be played both at the Indian River and Ethel Peter’s Sport Complexes on Saturday, May 22^nd and Sunday May 23^rd.

The U11, U12 and U14 divisions will have three (3) games on Saturday (for seeding) and at least one (1) playoff game on Sunday. The U11 and U12 age divisions will play 8 vs. 8 and the U14 divisions will play 11 vs. 11 with awards being given to the first and second place teams. Games ending in ties on Sunday will be determined by MLS style penalty kicks. All U11, U12 and U14 games will be officiated with a three (3) man system.

The U10 division will play four (4) games with an 8 vs. 8 format. The girls division will play on Saturday the 22^nd and the boys division will play on Sunday the 23^rd. All U10 teams will receive a participation award with no division standings. All U10 games will be officiated by a one (1) man system. All games will be officiated by USSF Certified Referees.

Attached you will find an application form. An application can also be found at www.clintonsoccer.net under the tournament tab. Please limit your teams to eighteen (18) players for the U14 divisions and fifteen (15) players for the U10, U11 and U12 divisions. All players must be certified by the CJSA or their state association on their appropriate status, all U11, U12 and U14 teams must have player passes (Comp teams only). Please complete the entry form and return it with your tournament fee before the 25^th of April. Teams will be notified of their acceptance and additional information will be sent. Teams that are not accepted will have their forms and their tournament fees returned in full. Due to the early date of our tournament and the large number of teams from last year it is strongly recommended that you apply early. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis.

Programs that will be available at a later date will include player rosters, schedules and useful advertisements from local businesses. We are looking forward to receiving your application and wish good luck to all participants.
